Welcome to our world of sun-chasing, food-devouring, and sunset-soaking adventures! We’re the slightly chaotic family living the dream (or at least attempting to) in our beloved Kombi, Izzie. We’ve not only perfected the art of camping but also created the Better for the Earth camp chairs because, you know, Mother Earth deserves a comfy seat too. SLOW is in our name and we have slowly created some camp gear that we know you will love.
Oh, and we’ve also whipped up two books for those perfect campfire meals and a travel guide to plan your ultimate New Zealand van life trip.
Our escapades with Izzie kicked off in Australia, where we lived a slow-paced life for five glorious years. But then, because life’s too short to stay put, we packed up and set sail for New Zealand. By this time, our family had grown, so Izzie got a little makeover—new engine, gearbox, the works—to tow our 700-kilo fibreglass caravan. Three months of repainting and a lot of elbow grease later, our tiny home on wheels was ready to roll.
New Zealand was magical, especially when I shared my homeland with the kids. But wanderlust is a persistent fellow, so we shipped our trusty combo to Japan. Why not? Japan’s all about that slow, meaningful living—just our speed.
Join us as we continue our globe-trotting, camping adventures with our three mini-explorers before they decide they’re too cool for us. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride!
